About family reunification

Family reunification is an immigration program that allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor certain members of their family to come and live in Canada permanently.

You can sponsor :

- your spouse, common-law partner or dependent child (including adopted children)

- your parents or grandparents

- other family members.

Both the sponsor and the sponsored person must meet certain requirements to be eligible for this immigration program.
